Welcome to Week Three! I am going to be a little bit vulnerable here! I have really struggled with the no spend challenge this past week. I was fully expecting to report that I have saved a ton of time not searching the internet. But I must admit, I have a few carts filled, ready to press the order button. Why is not spending for 30 days so difficult for me? I do not know the answer. I would like to celebrate one success! I have not been tempted to eat out. I will take that as a win!
I keep reminding myself that by doing this no-spend challenge, we are taking a slow methodical approach to making sustainable changes to when we buy, how we buy, and what we buy.
No Spend January - Week Three: Cleaning Out & Creating a Development
Cleaning Out
Many of you may have anticipated me here but it’s time to jump into your closet and clean out. Use your vision board and personal style adjectives to see if what you have in your closet fits your goals for 2024. Clothing is like everything else in your life, it's ok if you’ve outgrown it size-wise or style-wise. Think, does this work for me now? This is also a great opportunity to filter out any items that are stained, damaged, or which no longer fit you. As you filter through your belongings consider good condition items for possible donation or resale/consignment.
Reflect: What do you need to get from where you are to where you want to be?
We can’t get where we want to be by doing the same thing we have always done and expecting the outcome to be different. So this week I invite you to reflect on what you might need to help you achieve your goals for 2024? Use the attached worksheet to jot down some notes.
Here to help…Goals 2024
Wherever you are in your journey I am here to help. I would love to join you in your closet and take stock.
We are in the final stretch! I hope your no-spend month has helped you to hone in on what you truly want in your life moving forward. Stay tuned next week as we move from analyzing and reflecting to creating action plans for our 2024 life and style journey. Next week will be lots of fun...trust me!
